Arts Montco Week Participating Venues and Events

The third annual Arts Montco Week returns this September. Celebrate all the arts has to offer in Montgomery County by supporting local theaters, galleries, museums, gardens and more.

Art & Exhibitions

The American Treasure Tour Museum
Oaks
Enjoy the sights and sounds that filled the nation before the digital age began and see how it connects with today's modern world. Admission to the museum includes a 40-minute tram tour, Music Room walking tour, and the Toy Box walking tour.

Exhibition: The Charles L. Blockson Exhibition
Born in Norristown in 1933, Charles L. Blockson is world renowned for his expertise in Black genealogy and the Underground Railroad. The Charles L. Blockson Exhibition focuses on his life’s work in documenting the global Black experience through history.

Valley Forge National Historical Park
Plymouth Meeting
Art in the Park: Knox Quarters. Bring your camera, paints, or sketch pad as we explore the Knox's Quarters area in Valley Forge National Historical Park. Nearby are meadows, the PC Knox Estate, Valley Creek and surrounding forest, and of course Knox's Quarters and the farm buildings!  We will meet in the Knox's Quarters parking lot at 8 AM.  This event is free and open to all ages and abilities. It is weather-dependent. If weather is looking uncertain, please call the Visitor Center at 610-783-1099.

Norristown | Elmwood Park Zoo
Expressive Path’s Annual Art in the Park, Arts & Music Festival will be on September 16, 2023 inside the zoo! Guests can enjoy live music, vendors, food, drinks for guests 21+ at our beer garden and more! Shop till you drop at stations featuring local talented artists and boutiques. This event is free to attend with zoo admission.

Souderton Art Jam
Souderton | Wile Ave between Park and Pool
Artists and artisans join us from all over the east coast to showcase their work. The festival features arts, food, fun, live music, wine, craft beer, and so much more! Well behaved dogs are welcome.

"A Promise to Pottstown". An original commissioned play about the Pottstown community, produced through a grant from the NEA. A talkback with the playwright will be held on Sunday, September 10.
