APPLE BUTTER FROLIC

Mennonite Heritage Center
This popular autumn festival, hosted by the Mennonite Heritage Center, has been enjoyed by the local community for over 40 years. The frolic is an opportunity to learn how Mennonites and their neighbors lived 100 or more years ago, with folk craft demonstrations, horse and wagon rides, and delicious Pennsylvania German food.

Morris Arboretum
Morris Arboretum's 11th Annual Scarecrow Walk & Design Contest is back! This year the festival will be celebrating these iconic symbols of autumn with the theme of A Moment in Time. Come and vote for your favorite entries to win cash prizes this October.
BOO AT THE ZOO
Beginning October 13 - 14, 20 - 21 & 27 - 28
Elmwood Park Zoo
LAST CHANCE: Celebrate Halloween all month long at the Elmwood Park Zoo during Boo at the Zoo. Each Saturday and Sunday in October, children are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes and bring their trick-or-treat bag for an afternoon of fun.
NORTHERN STAR FARM FALL FEST

Northern Star Farm
Celebrate fall down on the farm at Northern Star Farm's Fall Fest. Navigate through the corn maze, take aim with the giant apple slingshot, saddle up for a pony ride and enjoy a day of family fun. Fall Fest is open weekends in October, and admission is always free.

Historic Trappe
Historic Trappe celebrates the season on Saturday with a family friendly Oktoberfest event. Programming includes live music, delicious food, colonial kids’ games, and living history demonstrations, all on the grounds of The Speaker’s House.
BLOOMFIELD FARM DAY

Morris Aboretum of the University of Pennsylvania
Step back in time at the Morris Aboretum's Bloomfield Farm Day. Bloomfield Farm, set across the street from the arboretum, is hosting a day of family fun that includes live music, crafts, historic tradesmen, and a petting zoo for the kids.
SCARECROW MAKING

Norristown Farm Park
Adults and children ages five and up can design and create their own scarecrows on October 15 at Norristown Farm Park. Prizes will be awarded for the scariest, most original and best overall scarecrow.
WANDS AND WIZARDS HARRY POTTER WEEKEND

Downtown Chestnut Hill
A wizardly world awaits at the (formerly known as Harry Potter Weekend) in neighboring Chestnut Hill. The festival features the annual Harry Potter Conference, the Brotherly Love Cup Quidditch Tournament and Harry Potter-themed events throughout downtown Chestnut Hill.
ALL HALLOW'S EVE FALL FESTIVAL

Pennypacker Mills
Bring the family for a day of fun on the farm at the Pennypacker Mills All Hallow's Eve Fall Festival. The event features old-time fun including tractor-pulled hayrides, pumpkin painting, corn shucking, apple pressing and more.
WITCHES OF NARBERTH

Narberth
Downtown Narberth welcomes children for a not-so-scary afternoon during Witches of Narberth. Kids and parents are invited to a scavenger hunt as they travel from business to business looking for witches. Kids will receive treats along the way, and a special Halloween prize at the end of the hunt.
