www.valleyforge.org (and affiliated website such as www.valleyforge.orgwww.visitVF.org, etc.) are owned and operated by the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (collectively referred to as "VFTCB," "us,""we" or "The Board"). The Board's policy is to respect, safeguard and protect your privacy.

Collecting and using your personally identifiable information
In general, we collect and use information about you where we reasonably believe it will help us administer our services generally and improve our response to your requests for tourism and vacation information. The information allows us to deliver information you requested, statistically analyze the usage of our site and improve our content and informational offerings. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share or disclose your private, personally identifiable information to third parties.

Information provided to us
You provide information when you post and submit information through the sections that request information (such as the contact us, newsletter sign-up, request visitors guide/meeting planners guide/group tour planner, services RFP, group tour RFP, meeting planner's RFP, media requests, photo requests, or online reservations), or when you participate in a contest or questionnaire.

Your information is stored in our database and is used internally. You may opt-out of receiving future correspondence by contacting us at 610.834.1550; web@valleyforge.org, or by mail to the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (1000 First Avenue, Suite 101, King of Prussia, PA 19406).

Web monitoring analytics
Valleyforge.org uses Google Analytics and server based metrics for web monitoring and tracking services. On this website we collect demographic data from Google's Interest-based advertising with Google Analytics. The Board's web-monitoring analytic software does not capture unique identifiable information, but only collects and analyzes statistical data in aggregate and for trend analysis. Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising by updating their preferences with Google.

Restrictions on disclosing information to third parties
Except for third-party vendor sites (see below for list), we do not sell, rent or otherwise share or disclose your private, personally identifiable information to third parties unless:

  • The information is provided to help provide a service or complete a transaction with you
  • The information is provided to comply with the law (for example, to comply with a search warrant, subpoena or court order), enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of our employees or others

The VFTCB may, on occasion, engage in remarketing advertising through the Google Display Network using data collected on our site. Some sections on the ValleyForge.org website are hosted by various partners of the Board. These sites maintain the look and feel of our website, and sometimes it may not be evident when a user is on one of these sections. Contests and sweepstakes
On occasion, the Board will conduct online contests, giveaways, or sweepstakes, which require information to be provided for eligibility. The information collected in these contests is subject to our Privacy Policy and Conditions of Use and is not shared with outside parties. However, if the user does not provide the requested information he/she may not be eligible for the contest. The information submitted is entered into a random drawing of the names to determine the winner. The entrant may choose to receive continued e-mails from VFTCB. If the entrant does not choose to receive e-mail, the information submitted by the entrant is deleted from the database after the contest has ended.

User-submitted content
Since the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board owns and operates valleyforge.org, our digital marketing team reserves the right to limit or remove user-submitted content, including but not limited to photos, videos, copy or content, at any time at our sole discretion, especially content that’s believed to be unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable, or that infringes or violates any party’s intellectual property or other proprietary rights.

Membership Disclaimer
As a private, nonprofit organization, the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) reserves the right to: deny membership on any basis, refuse products or services at its sole discretion, and/or approve/reject any content appearing on valleyforge.org including, member listings and/or events images and/or copy. VFTCB Membership may be discontinued or suspended for any reason such as: non-payment of dues, misrepresentation by member of relationship with board, activities determined detrimental to board’s good will/mission/policies. Membership may be canceled at any time by either party with 30 days written notice.

Event Photography and Videography Policy
By registering for and/or attending a Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) event, attendees understand and agree that they may be photographed, filmed, or videotaped and herby give the VFTCB and those acting with its permission to take pictures and/or recordings of such attendees and grant the perpetual right to use their name, voice, photograph, portrait, and likeness without compensation for broadcast or exhibition in any media now known or hereafter devised and to put the finished pictures/recordings to any lawful use without limitation or reservation. Attendees who wish to opt out must contact the VFTCB in writing before each event.

Disclaimer and release with respect to transactions entered into with any linked site or other third party
Any transaction that you enter into with any linked site, or other third party via or as a result of viewing our website is solely between yourself and such linked site or other third party. By using this website, you understand and agree that we have no responsibility for such transactions. You further agree that you will hold VFTCB harmless and not liable, and release us from any all suits and/or claims, should you have any dispute over or problem with any such transaction.

VFTCB Event Code of Conduct

Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board (VFTCB) is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and harassment-free experience for all participants at every event. All participants, including but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, and VFTCB staff and service providers are expected to comply with the VFTCB Event Code of Conduct and to treat each other with respect, refrain from disparaging comments or remarks, and to follow recommended business attire dress code.

This Policy applies to all VFTCB events, seminars, board meetings, committee meetings and gatherings, including those sponsored by companies and firms held in conjunction with VFTCB, in public or private facilities.

Unacceptable Behavior is defined to include:

  • Harassment or discrimination as defined below;
  • Physical or verbal abuse;
  • Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or presentations;
  • Unwanted touching, unwanted remarks of a sexual or intimate nature, unwelcome comments about someone’s body or personal appearance, and unwelcome attention;
  • Unsafe behavior;
  • Irresponsible drinking;
  • Illegal drug use, possession or attendance at an event while under the influence of illegal drugs.

VFTCB will not tolerate harassment in any form, including aggressive selling at events, and sexual language and/or imagery not appropriate for any part of the event. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal comments that humiliate or belittle
  • Sexual images in public spaces
  • Intimidation
  • Stalking
  • Threats
  • Intrusive, unwelcome or harassing photography, video or audio recording
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events
  • Inappropriate, unwelcome or uninvited physical contact
  • Unwelcome attention

VFTCB will not tolerate discrimination in any form. Discrimination is biased conduct towards or containing a negative reference to: race, color, national origin, gender, age, sex, pregnancy, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, creed, disability, veteran’s status, status as a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault and/or stalking, family responsibility or any other category protected by state and/or federal civil rights laws.

In response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, VFTCB reserves the right to take any immediate action deemed necessary and appropriate, including removal from the meeting or event and suspension and termination of membership.

If you experience harassment, discrimination, or notice that someone else is the victim of harassment or discrimination, please immediately contact VFTCB staff at events@valleyforge.org so that VFTCB can investigate and take appropriate action. If VFTCB staff cannot be immediately reached, please report the conduct to a VFTCB officer or director. If you believe you are in imminent danger, please call 911.
