Hatboro

Originally starting over 70 years ago in Philadelphia, Lochel’s Bakery has been through some harder times. On Labor Day 1995, the family run bakery’s store in Levittown caught fire, destroying almost everything. Now in Hatboro, every product in made from scratch daily by the family or a skilled baker. The dedication of the family and their joy for the craft has led them to win the title of “Sweetest Bakery in America” in 2017.

With one of the largest lines of Sugar-free chocolates in the country, Asher’s Chocolate has been making all types of fine chocolates since 1892. Order online or check out their Souderton retail store with chocolate covered treats and different types of chocolate like dark chocolate, gluten free, kosher, milk, white, and sugar free.

For over 40 years Beverly’s Pastry Shop has been creating local favorites like their signature strawberry torte. Their goal is to see that smile creep onto customer’s faces after that first bite. The idea of starting a business came first for Marty and Melanie Low, but what kind of business? They decided to create something they both loved; ice cream. Marty then travelled the country in search of the best ice cream and then went to ice cream schooling while Melanie learned to make European style chocolates in Montreal. Named after Melanie’s great-great grandfather, Zwahlen’s was born and made to look like a Swiss Chalet selling rich ice creams, crepes, and chocolates.

Jenkintown

Husband and wife, Ryan and Christina, opened Sweet Escape Cupcakery to share delicious desserts and treats with the community. With family recipes that have been passed down through generations, enjoy traditional flavors alongside cupcakes like Chunky Monkey, Georgia Peach, and Apple Pie.

With their recent grand re-opening in March 2018, Village Treats’ new owners Marla and Tommy Kaine have been immersed in the community for years, meeting each other on a blind date in Narberth they wanted to help people create their own little magical memories.
