Collection of Americana Accommodates both Group and Individual Visitors

OAKS, Pa. - Since its opening, visitors to the eye-popping collection comprising the American Treasure Tour gathered in groups of 15 to ooh and aah over the thousands of ad icons, store animations, automated music machines, nickelodeons, classic automobiles and memorabilia on display.

That's about to change: As of July 6, 2013, the American Treasure Tour will accommodate individual visitors, welcoming walk-ins on the first Saturday of each month for a one-hour tour, which will be available at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. Walk-in rates will range from $8 to $18 and $49.95 to $64.95 for family (up to four) packages.

"After over two years in the group travel market, where all tours were by reservation only, we have been inundated with requests to be open for individuals to tour our facility," said Ginni Frey, Director of American Treasure Tour. "As a result of the overwhelming interest, we have decided to open the first Saturday of the month with the intent to continue to add more general admission hours in the future."

The increased accessibility does not change the tour's welcome of group visitations, nor its recommendation that groups reserve their timeslots. But the change opens the doors of this extensive collection to a whole new segment of tourists; ones not associated with a church, civic, educational, club, corporate, senior or other organization. Groups may also reserve the dining room for a buffet style meal.

"The American Treasure Tour covers 100,000 square feet of space with items tucked into every nook and cranny," says Frey. "What's more, this isn't just a pass-by-and-stare experience. For example, our automated music machines, nickelodeons and band organs have been fully restored and are demonstrated for our guests. It's a fully interactive peek back at the entertainment from the turn of the prior century, not only from a music standpoint but also in terms of engineering, craftsmanship, artistry, lighting, motion and mechanics."

"It's a toe-tapping good time," she concludes.
