MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA – The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) invites visitors to plan travel to Montgomery County this holiday season, positioning the area as the premier destination for family travel. Valley Forge & Montgomery County, PA isn’t just a stop on the way to visit family and friends during the holidays, and the VFTCB’s new marketing campaign promotes holiday shopping, attractions, and accommodations, as visitors and residents plan their affordable overnight stays in Montco.

“The holidays are a magical time of year in Valley Forge and Montgomery County,” said VFTCB’s AVP of Marketing Justine Garbarino. “There’s fun, seasonal events, light displays, holiday performances, and plenty of places to splurge on shopping.”

The VFTCB’s advertising campaign uses data focused on family travel to bring visitors to the county. PR Newswire reports consumers plan to travel more this holiday season than in 2022: While just 40% of U.S. adults surveyed traveled last holiday season, a notable 54% are gearing up for holiday trips this year.

In partnership with FreshFly, a Philadelphia-based video production company, the VFTCB humorously captures Montgomery County as the perfect place for family- friendly holiday travel. The spot highlights Montgomery County winter staples in locations like the King of Prussia Mall (King of Prussia), Spring Mountain Adventures (Schwenksville), Arader Farm (Collegeville), the Elmwood Park Zoo (Norristown), Hyatt House (King of Prussia) and more.

Additionally, the VFTCB partnered with Madden Media on a robust media plan to place the marketing campaign in front of a target audience in the Philadelphia and New York markets throughout the holiday season.

Now through December 31, advertising features TV, radio, digital, social, and out-of-home marketing that highlights different holiday activities and encourages people to do their holiday shopping in Montgomery County. A TV spot will appear locally on CBS3 and 6ABC, and the VFTCB also partnered with 6ABC for a special promotion during the annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, including a gift card giveaway to the King of Prussia Mall and Philadelphia Premium Outlets. Paid ads will run on Google, Instagram, and Facebook, and radio messaging will air on WMMR during the Preston and Steve Show.

“There’s plenty of holiday cheer to fill a whole weekend in Montgomery County,” continued Garbarino. “We can’t wait to welcome new visitors this season.”

The VFTCB also released its 2023 Holiday Guide, which features everything to see and do in Montgomery County, PA. Readers can explore kid-friendly holiday things to do, top holiday festivals, holiday dining, top light displays, and more at www.valleyforge.org/holiday-guide/.
