KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – In celebration of a partnership with this week’s BMW Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) has released its first-ever digital Fall Golf Guide.
A more targeted and seasonal version of the organization’s spring Annual Montco Golf Guide, the free online version includes a map and list of all of Montgomery County’s 53 golf courses – that’s 300,000 yards of play – as well as features on the BMW Championship, a wrap-up of the Valley Forge Invitational, an LPGA Symetra Tour held at Raven’s Claw Golf Club in Pottstown, Philadelphia Country Club, and Blue Bell Country Club, the site of the VFTCB’s 4th Annual Montco Golf Classic in 2019.
“Throughout Montco, we have some of the top golf courses on the East Coast,” said Edward Harris, Chief Marketing Officer of the VFTCB. “Our new Fall Golf Guide highlights our 53 courses, golf history, and 75 hotels. From our Revolutionary War history, to our annual fall festivals, world-class shopping, 1,600 restaurants, award-winning breweries, wineries and distilleries and amazing golf opportunities, we have countless reasons to spend a weekend at in Montgomery County this season.”
In May, the VFTCB unveiled its second annual Montco Golf Guide in partnership with Sports Illustrated. That guide also featured interviews with local players, and highlighted the historic Huntingdon Valley Country Club, which hosted this year’s 2018 Montco Golf Classic. It was distributed at Travel Rally Day, and sent to more than 10,000 golfers within a 120-mile radius to encourage out-of-town golfers to play and stay in Montgomery County.
“From a communications standpoint, we’ve seen these types of custom guides from golf to arts and culture, and even dining, really resonate with locals and visitors alike,” said Rachel Riley, Communications & Media Relations Manager for the VFTCB. “We’re trying to look at the bigger picture to highlight the variety of things to do here.”
