Kick off your day in Pottstown with free bike rentals from Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area's Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill. The trail in Pottstown is wide, flat, and family-friendly—perfect for riders of all skill levels. Pack water bottles, snacks, and your sense of adventure as you pedal along the scenic Schuylkill River.
Make your way southeast to Port Providence Paddle and rent a kayak or canoe to explore calm, scenic stretches of the Schuylkill River. It’s a peaceful way to enjoy nature from a whole new perspective—just don’t forget sunscreen and maybe a dry change of clothes! After your ride, stick around for a delicious meal at Fitzwater Station.
A short ride or drive will take you to Valley Forge National Historical Park, where miles of historic walking paths tell the story of the Revolutionary War encampment. Kids (and adults) can enjoy an interactive museum, explore log huts, cannons, and rolling fields, while you share history right where it happened.
