The 79th Annual Hatfield American Legion Memorial Day Parade will take place on May 26 at 9 a.m., following the wreath-laying ceremony at the Veterans Memorial. All are invited to stand along the parade route as we honor fallen military members. After the parade, stop by the Legion Post 933 for food and soft drinks with Legion members.

Join the community in honoring our fallen heroes at the 2025 Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26 at 10 a.m. This lively, mile-long parade features over 50 groups including veterans, scouts, bands, dancers, and floats, and concludes with a heartfelt Remembrance Ceremony and a family-friendly Community Day celebration at Waterworks Park.

One of the most popular things to do on Memorial Day weekend is shopping! Make your way to the King of Prussia Mall or the Philadelphia Premium Outlets in Limerick to take advantage of Memorial Day sales and specials. If you’d rather shop local, don’t miss the boutiques and neighborhood stores in downtown shopping areas in ArdmoreAmbler, Skippack, and Narberth.

Take advantage of the warming temperatures with a round of golf at one of Montco’s 50 golf courses. If you are a Norristown resident, take advantage of Elmwood Park Zoo, offering FREE admission on the last Saturday and Sunday of the month, which just so happens to fall over Memorial Day weekend. Pre-registration is required to qualify for complimentary admission. 

With 96 miles of trails throughout Montgomery County, get your daily steps in as you explore the urban trails and quiet countryside. Paved biking trails offer a unique way to soak up the summer sunshine and blue skies.

For those ready to imbibe in cocktails, take a guided tour of Five Saints Distilling in Norristown. Held on select Saturdays, the tour tells the story of the distillery’s firehouse location and shows the process of creating spirits – right here in the Montco region.

Looking for things to do on Memorial Day? You’ve got options! Enjoy a delicious dinner aboard the Colebrookdale Railroad as you journey through the Secret Valley!

Take time on Memorial Day to soak up history on a Trolley Tour of Valley Forge National Park. The 90-minute, guided tour includes extended stops at the Muhlenberg Brigade Huts and Washington's Headquarters. Reservations are suggested. 

At the Museum of the American Revolution, tour the exhibit, Witness to Revolution: The Unlikely Travels of Washington’s Tent. Bringing together inspiring works of art, rare documents, and significant historical objects from public and private collections across the United States, this fantastic exhibit makes for a patriotic way to honor Memorial Day.
