KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) is proud to announce Sales Manager, Lindsay Ancarrow, was recently awarded the Young Professional Group (YPG) of Montgomery County Development Corporation’s (MCDC) “2017 Young Professional of the Year” award!

MCDC is Montgomery County, Pennsylvania’s Certified Economic Development Organization accredited by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development. The organization’s goal is to provide economic balance, and preserve quality of life in Montgomery County. MCDC promotes the growth of business, industry, and civic welfare in Montco, and facilitates information between and among businesses and government institutions.

Ancarrow began her involvement with MCDC in February 2016 and joined the YPG committee to help coordinate events and membership in December 2016. A photographer and former hotel sales manager, Ancarrow has been working to help grow the weddings and corporate market for the VFTCB for the past two years.

“Working in the hospitality and hotel world for the past several years, it's great to see how MCDC really touches all parts of the County,” said Ancarrow. “You get a sense of the bigger picture, and how everyone works together to make Montgomery County as great as it is."

“Lindsay is a leader inside and outside of the office and we’re proud to have her as part of the VFTCB team,” said Lisa Karl, VFTCB Vice President of Sales & Strategic Partnerships.

Ancarrow graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2011. She grew up in the Gettysburg area. A former high school golf competitor, Ancarrow still enjoys playing courses today, as well as spending time with her dog, Odie, and painting, drawing, and going to concerts.
