MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA – During the month of February, a traditionally slower travel period in the tourism sector, the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) is targeting locals and visitors with a consumer marketing program promoting easy-to-plan date ideas in Montgomery County, PA.
“February here in Montgomery County is all about having the most fun during the shortest month of the year,” said VFTCB’s AVP of Marketing Justine Garbarino. “From dinner dates to play dates, there are so many ways to enjoy a date night with significant others, family, and even friends in Montco.”
In partnership with Madden Media, the campaign strategy will target the Philadelphia DMA via digital and social media advertising, radio, and more. Campaign advertising is expected to drive users to the campaign landing page which outlines date night events and itineraries, 50+ creative date ideas, hotel deals, and more.
New this year, a consumer activation will help generate buzz for the campaign. Between February 1-11, a campaign-branded glass truck will drive throughout Montgomery County and Philadelphia (schedule attached) bringing dinner dates to life while encouraging people to make a reservation in Montco. WMMR’s on-air host and Preston and Steve Show producer, Marisa Magnatta, will document a Montco date night, catered by Harvest Seasonal Grill, live from inside the truck on her social channels.
Additionally, for the duration of the month-long campaign, the VFTCB will host giveaways via email marketing and social media for gift cards to local restaurants and dining experiences.
With this initiative, the VFTCB is hoping to take the hassle out of travel planning, and with more than 80 hotels in Montgomery County, the campaign makes it easy to turn Valentine’s Day celebrations into the perfect staycation.
“There’s an extra day this February to spice things up and enjoy a date in Montco,” continued Garbarino. “We know that time together is special for a lot of people and look forward to welcoming them to Montgomery County.”
