KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) invites residents and visitors to plan family travel to Montgomery County this summer using the #MakeItMontco Family Fun Savings Passport.

This summer, Valley Forge & Montgomery County, PA is the ultimate family playground and hotels and attractions throughout the county are offering amazing deals. The VFTCB’s Family Fun Savings Passport features exclusive discounts to local kid-friendly attractions and allows families to plan their “playcation” in Montco at an affordable rate.

Users can access this year’s specialized hotel rates and below offers on www.makeitmontco.com when booking a stay in Montgomery County this summer.

The VFTCB’s advertising campaign uses data focused on kid-friendly travel to bring travelers to the county. A recent VRBO survey found that parents are more likely to reward their kids with extra special vacations and give them a bigger say in travel planning, and 50% of families said they’re more likely to let their kids decide where they vacation, compared to pre-pandemic times.

In partnership with Seven Knots Film & Media, a Philadelphia-based video production company, the VFTCB visually captures Montgomery County as the perfect place for family friendly travel after what’s been a stressful nearly two years. The 30-second spot perfectly highlights the Passport participants in locations like Normandy Farm (Blue Bell), Arnold’s Family Fun Center (Oaks), Blue Elephant (Pottstown), Valley Forge National Historical Park (King of Prussia) and the Elmwood Park Zoo (Norristown).

Additionally, the VFTCB partnered with Madden Media on a robust media plan to place the marketing campaign in front of a target audience from Boston down to Virginia throughout the summer.

The campaign began its run in April with paid ads on social media, followed by the TV spot airing on NBC Philadelphia, NBC Philadelphia Sports, and FOX 29. Ads will also appear on iHeartRadio stations here in Philadelphia and on streaming in our target markets, expedia.com, tripadvisor.com, and in various out-of-home marketing.

The VFTCB will make a big splash in Washington, DC. because it has seen a steady increase in traffic from this area on its website. These opportunities include the TV spot airing on local news stations, an email marketing campaign with the Washingtonian, radio ads on NPR, and a partnership with Carvertise.

“We’re proud to be a family-friendly destination and can’t wait to welcome families to Valley Forge and Montgomery County this summer,” said VFTCB’s AVP of Marketing Justine Garbarino, “Summer is the best time to get outside and explore all this area has to offer. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, bring friends. We want everyone to experience the fun that awaits in Montgomery County.”
