KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) invites visitors to plan travel to Montgomery County this summer, positioning the area as the premier destination for affordable family fun. Valley Forge & Montgomery County, PA is the ultimate family playground and the VFTCB’s new marketing campaign promotes budget-friendly attractions and accommodations, allowing families to “FREE-k out” as they plan their affordable overnight stays in Montco.
The VFTCB’s advertising campaign uses data focused on family travel to bring visitors to the county. Gitnux Blog reports 37% of families state that affordability is a key consideration in choosing a vacation destination, and a recent Komo News survey found that family vacations are still a priority for Americans despite inflation, with 85% of people saying travel is one of their top priorities for discretionary spending this year.
In partnership with FreshFly, a Philadelphia-based video production company, the VFTCB humorously captures Montgomery County as the perfect place for family (and wallet) friendly travel. The :30, :15, and :9 spots perfectly highlight iconic Montgomery County staples in locations like the Tru by Hilton Audubon Valley Forge (Audubon), the Valley Forge National Historical Park (King of Prussia), the King of Prussia Mall, and the Elmwood Park Zoo (Norristown), showcasing economical benefits like free parking, hotel breakfast, and more.
“We know families are traveling and how important value is to them when planning a trip,” said VFTCB’s AVP of Communications Rachel Riley. “We’re so excited to see how this fun message resonates with not just parents, but the whole family, and can’t wait to welcome them to Montgomery County this summer.”
Additionally, the VFTCB partnered with Madden Media on a robust media plan to place the marketing campaign in front of a target audience from Boston down to Virginia throughout the summer.
The campaign began its run in May with paid social media ads on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and TV spots airing on CBS Philadelphia. Ads will also appear via Google Discovery advertising and in various influencer and out-of-home marketing.
The VFTCB also released its 2023 Visitors Guide, a publication on everything to see and do in Montgomery County, PA. Readers can discover top attractions, local restaurants, award-winning arts and culture venues, outdoor offerings and plan their next visit by downloading a digital or printed copy at: www.valleyforge.org/plan/request-visitors-guide/.
