VALLEY FORGE CASINO RESORT TO HOST HOLIDAY COCKTAIL COMPETITION BENEFITING TOYS FOR TOTS
Hundreds of guests and community members to taste creative cocktails from top culinary talent in the region, experience live performances and vote for a winner!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, King of Prussia, PA (October 11, 2018) – Valley Forge Casino Resort has partnered with Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Center to host a Holiday Cocktail Competition, benefitting Toys for Tots. On Thursday, November 15, the region’s top restaurants and bars are invited to showcase their bartending skills while creating fun and inventive holiday-themed drinks for guests.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for this one-night-only experience featuring cocktail creations from some of the top restaurants in the area hoping to win the final vote from both the judges and the guests,” said Dave Zerfing, General Manager for Valley Forge Casino Resort.
Participating local restaurants include, Revolution Chop House, Mistral, Founding Farmers, Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar, Davio’s, Savona, Five Saints Distilling and Conshy Girls Catering.
Each restaurant will be spotlighted as they compete and are judged by a panel of local influencers and community members including Greg Waks of Upper Merion Township, Eric Goldstein of King of Prussia District and on-air personality, Marilyn Russell of WOGL. Judging will be based on key components including recipe and ingredients, showmanship and presentation and taste. The winner will receive an exclusive gift, trophy and of course, bragging rights! Additionally, a second winner will be announced based on a final guest “people’s choice” vote at the end of the night.
The evening will feature live music and food specials for purchase including, turkey wraps, cheese platters, chilled crab dip and crostini’s and more.
Tickets are available for $5 with all proceeds going to Toys for Tots. Guests are encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts which will also be donated to the organization, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The event will take place at The Venue, located in Valley Forge Casino Resort from 6p.m.-8p.m. Attendees must be 21+.
