Junior Ranger Day promo 

Join Valley Forge National Historical Park on Saturday May 18th for an annual Junior Ranger Day celebration! This free event will take place at the park’s Muhlenberg’s Brigade huts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..  

There will be multiple divisions of park staff to teach junior rangers how each team contributes to Valley Forge to make it a place of beauty, history, and recreation. 

There will be special Jr. Ranger Day books and badges, a Black Powder demonstration at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and a variety of other fun hands-on activities!

Enjoy a lovely day out this Mother’s Day. Workhouse Brewing Company in King of Prussia and the Elmwood Park Zoo will be hosting lovely Mother’s Day Brunch events. The Colebrookdale Railroad in Pottstown will be having a “Mother’s Day Tea” train ride with butler-style dining class service. Check out more Mother’s Day events, from park picnics to ballroom dining.

Join The Cooking Studio in Telford for a month of various cooking classes, such as Spring in Paris on May 18th! 

Enjoy Birding by Canoe on May 9th at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove in Audubon. There are more summer sessions as well.

Dive into history at Peter Wentz Farmstead’s Great Sanitary Fair of 2024 in Lansdale. This free event highlights the 160th anniversary of large fairs to raise funds for soldiers’ aid during the Civil War. Watch historic demonstrations like wet-plate photography and artillery and support local businesses by shopping for native plants and artwork.
