Pride Month celebrates and honors the LGBTQIA+ community in a variety of ways. But celebrating pride isn't limited to rainbow flags and parades. One of the best ways to support the community is by shopping at businesses that LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs own. Pride Flag Raising

June 2nd | Montgomery County Courthouse, Norristown | 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Join Montgomery County leaders and officials to raise the Pride flag above our County campus in Norristown. In addition to the raising of the official Pride flag, remarks from Commissioners Arkoosh and Lawrence will be made, as well as remarks from the President of the Montgomery County LGBT Business Council, Brittany Kohler. 

Pride at the Park

Sat. June 11th | Narberth Park | 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Pride at the Park was designed as a celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies. It's a time when people from all around Lower Merion can come together to celebrate and learn in a fun and safe environment. You can expect food, live music, local artists and vendors, non-profits, and student organizations.

Raising LGBTQ+ Kids

Tues. June 14th | Montogmery County Courthouse, Norristown | 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Pride Month allows for anyone, from any walk of life to come together and make the world a kinder, more loving place. For some, that means being an ally to members of the LGBTQ+ community far and wide. This panel discussion focuses on parents of LGBTQIA+ youth and allows panelists to share their experiences while discussing ways parents can and should be their child's strongest advocate and ally.

Bucks-Mont Pride Festival

Sat. June 26th  | Abington Art Center, Abington | 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

SAGA Community Center, a program of The Welcome Project PA, is proud to host the second annual  Bucks-Mont PRIDE Festival at the beautiful Abington Art Center! SAGA is Montgomery County's LGBT+ community center, providing support, education, advocacy, and resources since 2017. Enjoy live music, food, community resources, family-friendly activities, an Art Gallery, and more at this free, indoor/outdoor event

Sharing Our Stories; A Queer Recovery Experience

Katie Greeley (she/her) and Hadeis Safi (they/them) share their experiences with substance use and recovery as queer and trans individuals. What drove their substance use and how recovery can be deeply personal and vary from person to person.
