Fall Drinks in Montgomery County

When we list what we’re grateful for around the table, we always give a toast to the creative breweries and distilleries of Montgomery County. These fall beers, spirits, and cocktails will warm your bellies until the first blizzard comes.

The Green Fork

Vegans and carnivores alike can pick up a fork and dig into The Beat Goes On, a salad wrapped in the warm autumn shades of red and golden beets, pears, and local honey. Located in North Wales, TGF has indoor and outdoor seating and features live music on Saturdays.

The BYO restaurant recently participated in Conshohocken’s restaurant week featuring a mushroom risotto, but that’s all we can say for sure about their menu, which changes daily depending on ingredient availability. Call and find out!

The Butcher and the Barkeep

Once you’ve picked your pumpkin, head over to Harleysville for its winter cousin, spaghetti squash, served in a garlic-white wine sauce. Maybe start with the grilled flatbread, whose toppings change with the seasons.

Saffron Indian Kitchen

With locations in Bala Cynwyd, Ambler, and Wayne, Saffron could be your fall go-to for dinner throughout the county. Their monthly specials for September included gobi gosht, a lamb dish in a curry sauce with cauliflower, and aaloo daal palak, a comforting combination of spinach, yellow lentils, and potatoes.

The Mill

Just in time for college football season, The Mill sports a varied finger food menu including cheesesteak eggrolls, six kinds of poutine, and weekly pizza specials. Have Thanksgiving early in Kulpsville - try the cranberry turkey sandwich, served with cranberry aioli on cranberry bread.
