Fairs, Festivals, Concerts Highlight Busy Calendar

When the weather heats up, the calendar of events for Valley Forge and Montgomery County fills up quickly. From family fun festivals to exciting concerts and performances and everything in between, here are 10 can't-miss summer events in Montgomery County: 

BLACK POWDER TAVERN AND YARDS BREWERY PRESENT: BEERS OF THE PRESIDENTS

July 6
Black Powder Tavern

Black Powder Tavern and Yards Brewery are hosting rocking good time in colonial style with “Beers of Presidents,” a special event to celebrate Independence Day (weekend). Tavern staff and patrons will be sporting colonial era attire. Guests are encouraged to be creative in their dress to win a prize (free dinner) for (the) best costume. This event will also feature Yards (name of beers) on tap, a DJ, historical impersonators (Presidents James Madison and George Washington as well as Philly’s own Benjamin Franklin), patriotic cocktails, games, and more.

AMBLER RESTAURANT WEEK

July 15-22
Ambler Main Street

A festival of food! Come out to all participating Ambler restaurants for special pricing on lunch and dinner. Ambler Restaurant Week is an opportunity to experience one of Montgomery County's best downtown dining scenes with over a dozen Ambler area restaurants offering wonderful specials and price-fix menus.

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: AMALUNA

Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks

Cirque Du Soleil is almost ready to bring it's long-running hit show, Amaluna, to Montco starting July 24th! The big top tent will officially be raised this Friday, July 12th. 

See the hit show AMALUNA this summer under the Big Top on the grounds of the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks.

Ice Cream Sundae Run

August 3

Colebrookdale Railroad 

Enjoy a short ride to our Colebrookdale Village site to make your own ice cream sundae!  Trains depart hourly from the Boyertown Station.  Stay for an hour or longer if you would like.  Pile on the toppings and pile up the memories!  Make your very own sweet and cold treat!

IN THE GOOD OLD SUMMERTIME

August 3
Pennypacker Mills

Turn back the clock to 1900 at Pennypacker Mills' annual "In the Good Old Summertime" event. From 11 a.m.-3 p.m visit the Mills for a day of old-fashioned fun with lawn games, a visit to the General Store, vintage clothes try-on, mansion tours, and a vintage British car show.

Folk Festival

PHILADELPHIA FOLK FESTIVAL

August 15 - 18
Old Pool Farm

The 58th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival presents superstars and rising stars in this four-day party. Old Pool Farm welcomes music fans, campers, crafters, vendors, jugglers, puppeteers and tutors in an all-encompassing experience of a uniquely American art form.

Montgomery County Community College

The Harlem Globetrotters will give their fans a chance to get closer than ever to the action and team’s stars with their new summer tour, which is set to come to Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell on August 18, 2019 at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Valley Forge National Historic Park
