Ursinus invites you to take a class with Minerva! The college is launching the Minerva Term - an immersive day-long learning experience - in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the founding of Ursinus.

Named for Minerva Weinberger, Ursinus’s first admitted female student, graduate and valedictorian, this day-long event is an opportunity to take a course taught by Ursinus professors and fulfill Ursinus’s commitment to lifelong learning.

Choose between one of two classes:

The Promise and Peril of Genome Editing?

Co-taught by Professor of Biology Rebecca Lyczak and Professor of Politics Paul Stern.

In this workshop, participants will grapple with the implications of recent scientific advances, which only a few years ago were relegated to the realm of science fiction.

The Word Becomes You: Documentary Theater

Taught by Professor of Theater Domenick Scudera

Explore the possibilities of documentary theater and create your own. This workshop will provide an overview of the history, theories and practices of documentary theater and inspire participants to create their own short documentary theater pieces.
