Homebrew Competition

Returning this year is the Taste of Ardmore Homebrew Competition. Five experienced homebrewers from the Main Line Brewers Association will compete for two titles: Voter’s Choice and Expert’s Choice. Guests will be able to taste the brews and vote for their favorite. A surprise expert panel will also pick a winner. The Voter’s Choice and Expert’s Choice winners will receive a bag of malt and a box of hops from Iron Hill and Tired Hands.

Ardmore Kitchen Challenge

Once again, Taste of Ardmore will feature the Ardmore Kitchen Challenge. Pat Nogar of LMTV's "Living Well with Pat Nogar," Main Line Foodies, and the Ardmore Initiative are teaming up to look for the best home cooks in the area. Three contestants will shop for ingredients at the Ardmore Farmers Market, cook their best dishes in the spacious kitchen of the beautiful Merion Tribute House, and then submit them to celebrity judges. Who will win? The competition will be intense.

The winner of the Ardmore Kitchen Challenge will share their dish at Taste of Ardmore, be featured on a future episode of “Living Well with Pat Nogar,” and receive a $100 gift credit to the Downtown Ardmore restaurant of their choice. Over the coming weeks, on “Living Well with Pat Nogar,” we will chronicle the escapades of our contestants, judges, and final outcome of the Ardmore Kitchen Challenge. We will also give you a peek at the ingredients that contestants must use to develop their signature dish. And don’t forget to come to Taste of Ardmore to sample the winning dish!

Host: Pat Nogar

"Just do you" is Pat Nogar's advice to those who aspire to entertain but are unsure of what to do. The host of LMTV's "Living Well with Pat Nogar", for the past five years, has shared her lifestyle acumen and trademark style with the Main Line viewing audience. Born and raised in the Midwest and the South, Pat landed in Philadelphia more than twenty years ago. She quickly became known for her unique approach to entertaining, hosting guests in her home for theme parties such as "Twas the Night Before Christmas", "Venetian Carnivale", and most recently "Farewell to Downton Abbey", all against the backdrop of fourteen themed Christmas trees that she and her husband put up every year. She is also an experienced event planner, a corporate executive and a commissioned Kentucky Colonel, one of the accomplishments of which she is most proud.

In addition to hosting her show on LMTV, Pat spends time sharing lifestyle tips and recipes through her Facebook pages, "Living Well With Pat Nogar" and "Rediscovering Home". An accomplished cook, Pat is always creating culinary experiences for her guests. She is also a gardener, recently attaining the designation of Master Gardener from the Penn State Extension Program. So, in addition to attending her own sprawling gardens, she helps residents in Montgomery County with their gardening issues and judges local garden contests.

For Pat, "Living Well" is a way of life and she invites others to join her on the journey. You can follow her shows on her YouTube Channel, "Living Well With Pat Nogar".
