About the Artist

Whether capturing clouds gathering on the marsh, or pastures bathed in moonlight, Signe observes the interaction of earth and sky with a poets vision. From pond views and rolling fields to grasslands and coastal vistas, she explores the natural world in compositions infused with the energy of a particular time or place.

Signe's engagement with landscape continues in large hand cast paper creations integrating stones, sand, soil, plant fibers and natural materials. Her paperworks are regularly exhibited at universities & galleries.

A University of the Arts Honors grad, she also studied at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts & Lake Placid School of Art. Her award winning work is included in corporate & public collections throughout the country.

Her illustrations can be found in books and publications, including collaborations with author William Woys Weaver in his heirloom garden and culinary books.

Signe's artwork is featured in Catherine Quillman's book "100 Artists of the Brandywine Valley" , Schiffer.
