In 1904, President Theodore Roosevelt was the honored guest at the wedding of Philander Chase Knox's daughter and spent a night at their estate. Meet President Roosevelt (American Historical Theater's Peyton Dixon) in the Bishop White Library at the Washington Memorial Chapel as he joins us for a delectable morning brunch. Hear firsthand about President Roosevelt's efforts to put the environment on the national agenda – and maybe some interesting details about Roosevelt's visit to Valley Forge.
$75 per person: Includes brunch at Washington Memorial Chapel from 9 to 10 am followed by an old-fashioned trolley ride to the PC Knox Estate for a special tour of the mansion. After the house tour, discover historic and environmental highlights of the park in a guided trolley tour.
All proceeds benefit the Valley Forge Park Alliance. For more information or to register, please visit vfparkalliance.org or call 610-783-1777.
