What could be better than a beautiful fall day at the Mills where families can engage in old-fashioned fun painting pumpkins, making kid-themed vintage crafts, taking hayrides, bean bag toss, shucking corn, trying your hand at pressing apples to make cider, and jumping in the hay! The historic house will not be open for tours on this day. All ages; free, suggested donation $2 per person.
Pennypacker Mills is the home of Pennsylvania Governor Samuel W. Pennypacker (1903-1907) and his family. Set on 170-acres of bucolic farmland, the mansion is completely furnished and houses an extensive collection of official and personal artifacts of the Pennypacker family. Operated by the County of Montgomery, the site is open year-round for guided tours, seasonal events, educational programs, changing exhibits, and special programs.
