No matter your heritage, everyone is Irish on March 17th – St. Patrick’s Day! This year, pick out your best green outfit and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day at one of Montgomery County’s numerous celebrations.
Conshohocken Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and 5K Race
Known as one of the region’s most popular annual events, the Conshohocken Saint Patrick’s Day Parade steps off from 11th and Fayette Street on March 16 at 2 p.m. This year’s parade theme is “Irish Hearts in America,” featuring Irish Dancers, the Fraternal Organization, and ten marching bands from area schools.
Prior to the parade, runners can participate in the annual Conshohocken St Paddy's Day 5K Classic. This road race takes place along Fayette Street, benefits Conshohocken Fire Co. #2, and equips their volunteers.
The Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt
Enjoy a family-friendly Saint Patrick's Day celebration in Narberth on March 16, at The Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt. Children begin the free scavenger hunt with clues to find the leprechauns throughout the town at various shops and restaurants. Once all lucky coins are collected, lucky prizes will be awarded at the Blarney Booth.
Colebrookdale Railroad's Molly McGuire’s Irish Lunch
All aboard the Colebrookdale Railroad for a special Irish-themed, two-hour journey through the Secret Valley on March 16, 2024. This roundtrip adventure departs from Boyertown, where dining car guests can enjoy a traditional Irish lunch prepared by Molly Maguire's Irish Restaurant & Pub of Phoenixville. The menu includes Shepherd’s Pie, mashed potatoes, a Reuben spring roll, and bread pudding. Those with First Class Parlor tickets can enjoy one complimentary beverage, an hors d’oeuvre plate, and a seasonal dessert honoring the Irish holiday.
Jack Cassidy’s Irish Pub
In Pottstown, at Jack Cassidy’s Irish Pub, you can eat, drink, and be Irish with drink specials and Irish delicacies throughout the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Start the day with an Irish breakfast with Irish coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and more! Breakfast sandwiches are free to service men and women with valid military/veterans IDs.
Later in the day, enjoy live music alongside Shepard’s Pie to Irish Bangers and Corned Beef and Cabbage. Pair your meal with a pint of Guinness or one of the many Irish beers found on tap here.
McCloskey's Tavern
Join McCloskey’s Tavern for St. Paddy’s Day as they celebrate both the warming temperatures and the Irish holiday with the reopening of its patio on March 17th. Enjoy Irish favorites like a Guinness Burger and a cold brew at this neighborhood pub that has welcomed guests since 1937. Located in Ardmore, the St. Patrick’s Day festivities begin at noon.
