From history, nature, and the arts, here are some of the many exciting things happening this month in Montco that you won’t want to miss.
See the upcoming Solar Eclipse at Valley Forge National Historical Park on April 8th! You are invited to join staff and volunteers at the Wayne's Woods picnic area (weather-permitting) from 2pm to 4:30pm. The peak of the eclipse will be seen from 90% totality at about 3:23pm.
There will also be a special Junior Ranger eclipse activity, a solar telescope set up, and a talk about the historical eclipses.
Immerse yourself in the world of local folk artist David Ellinger, who helped popular Pennsylvania German culture in the mid-20th century. Historic Trappe's special exhibition Native Son: The Life and Art of David Ellinger includes several wintry landscape paintings of nearby farmsteads.
The Center for Pennsylvania German Studies, located at the Dewees Tavern, is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm and Sundays from 12 to 4 pm. For a tour outside these times, contact info@historictrappe.org or (610) 489-7560 to make an appointment.

Energize your April at the 18th Annual Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run! Participants run or walk through Valley Forge National Historical Park (or join virtually), and proceeds from the event go right back to this beloved park. The event takes place on April 21st, 2024.
For all Dancing Queens near and far, the Keswick Theatre is here to deliver the ultimate live covers of ABBA. Sing your heart out at The Concert: A Tribute to ABBA on Saturday, April 20th.

You can venture out on one of our hundreds of trails, explore amazing nature centers such as John James Audubon, celebrate at the Elmwood Park Zoo, go to an Earth Day festival, and even give back to the community.
