Montgomery County got a brand-new Asian infusion hot-spot right in the heart of downtown Pottstown; The Blue Elephant. Located at 152 E. High St, The Blue Elephant officially opened its doors to the Pottstown community after an eight-month renovation period.

The Blue Elephant is located in the former home of The Brick House restaurant at the corner of High and Hanover street(s). The Brick House closed two years ago, leaving the building available for a brand-new dining experience.

The new restaurant aims to provide Pottstown visitors and locals with a dining experience unlike any before. Their mission statement reads:

“Our mission it to deliver a refreshingly innovative twist on Asian fusion dishes in an elegant se4tting that celebrates the local history of Pottstown. By mixing traditional flavors with blazingly contemporary techniques, the food, beverage program and dining experience at the Blue Elephant are carefully designed to surprise and elevate any night out.”

The Blue Elephant menu mainly features Italian-Thai fusion dishes. One of the standout dishes of the dinner menu is the green curry lobster linguini: lobster meat, white wine, and Thai green curry coconut cream sauce.

There is also a full Japanese sushi menu which features classic rolls such as the California, spicy tuna, and volcano rolls.

Pottstown Borough Council has approved a liquor license for the restaurant and there will be a 30-foot bar. The restaurant will also feature a fountain and greenery in the main dining area, which will be able to seat around 130 customers.

The Blue Elephant is a part of the Win Signature restaurants family, a restaurant group owned by Win and Sutida Somboonsong and based primarily on the Main Line.

Other restaurants in the Win Signature Restaurants family include Mikado Thai Pepper in Ardmore, Teikoku in Newtown Square and Azie, which features locations in both Villanova and Media.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
