Elmwood Park Zoo, Norristown
At the Elmwood Park Zoo, you'll find more than 100 animals from all over the world. See nature's most amazing creatures at giraffe and bison feedings, or get a bird's eye view of the zoo at the Treetop Adventure Park zip lining and ropes course. John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove, Audubon
At the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove you can see wildlife along the nature trails, or explore the museum's exhibits focused on birds, are and conservation. Plus, during your visit, guests can interact with the resident birds of Mill Grove. All, except for one, have suffered a permanent injury that makes them unable to survive in the wild. So now, these birds have been trained to help educate the public on the issues facing birds today.
Willow Creek Farm Preserve, Collegeville
At this 135-acre farm, kids can learn about the different animals that live on the farm - from insects to sheep and goats. Sign up your little ones for these outdoor, socially distanced classes in advance.
Rose Bridge Farm and Sanctuary, Dresher
Rose Bridge Farm offers visits where you can feed rescued baby goats, lambs, sheep and horses. You'll also learn about the animals and how to care for them. Book your visit online.
Upper Schuylkill Valley Park, Royersford
This hidden gem is a great place to see some wildlife. Check out the Park's Wildlife Center where you can see foxes, deer, wolves, rabbits, a bald eagle, many varieties of owls, hawks, turkeys and an assortment of farm animals. Also check out the seasonal butterfly, plus turtles, frogs, fish and more in the indoor space.
