The holidays are officially upon us, but this week offers much more than carols and holiday shopping. Tuesday night is the Annual March in of the Continental Army, one of the biggest events of the year at Valley Forge Park.

MARCH IN OF THE CONTINENTAL ARMY
Valley Forge National Historical Park
On December 19, 1777, the Continental Army marched in to Valley Forge for what would become a six-month encampment. The anniversary of that first night in camp is celebrated with an encampment at the Muhlenberg Brigade huts and a visit by General George Washington.

Act II Playhouse
Act II Playhouse presents a brand new comedy for the whole family. My Very Own Polar Bear tells the story of a young girl and her friendship with her (real-to-her) polar bear. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday. Check Act II's website for complete showtime listings.
ALADDIN: A MUSICAL PANTO
December 19 - 24
Your favorite holiday tradition! When the young ne'er-do-well Aladdin and his animal pals find a mysterious lamp, the hilarious adventure begins. This rollicking musical romp "beats a sugar rush any day" (The Philadelphia Inquirer). This week's schedule includes performances Tuesday through Sunday (with no shows on Thursday).
JIM BRICKMAN: A JOYFUL CHRISTMAS
Acclaimed pianist Jim Brickman takes the stage at the Keswick Theatre this Thursday night. The Grammy-nominated, Dove Award-winning performer presents "A Joyful Christmas" starting at 7:30 p.m.
CHARLIE BROWN JAZZ
The Eric Mintel Quartet brings the unforgettable holiday music of A Charlie Brown Christmas to the stage at the Colonial Theatre. Hear the sounds of the season, as composed by the legend Vince Guaraldi, this Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.

AMBLER HOLIDAY SHOPPING VILLAGE

Ambler Main Street
Ambler's Holiday Shopping Village is a pop-up market where you can find gifts from some of the area's best artisans, craftors and more. The village is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with December 24 as the last day of the season.
