VALLEY FORGE FAMILY DAY
Valley Forge National Historical Park celebrates Family Day on September 25 with an afternoon of activities geared toward children and their parents. Living history demonstrations, ranger-led programs, and interactive learning are on tap from 2 to 5 p.m.
SAVE GEORGE WASHINGTON
George Washington needs your help! There's a rumor floating around camp about a plot to have him kidnapped, and only you can save the general.
The Secrets and Spies program is as an interactive adventure made for children, but fun for the whole family.
COME HUNGRY AND DIG IN
Bring your family and your appetite to this special event. The Encampment Store at Valley Forge will be firing up the grill and serving hot dogs and hamburgers throughout the afternoon. Guests are also invited to bring a picnic lunch of their own to enjoy on the scenic park grounds.
ENJOY THE PARK BY TROLLEY
Get the full Valley Forge experience with a 90-minute trolley tour. The trolley includes step-off stops at the Muhlenberg Brigade Huts and Washington's Headquarters, two highlights of any trip to Valley Forge. Tours begin at 11 a.m, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
EXPLORE SOLDIERS' CAMP LIFE
Living history demonstrations are among the highlights of the day's events. Four exploration stations will be set up to showcase what life was like for the soldiers during the Valley Forge encampment. A special Kids Join the Continental Army program will also be held, giving children the opportunity to march and drill just as the soldiers did nearly 250 years ago.
HELP A FAMILY IN NEED
Valley Forge Family Day is more than an event, it's a celebration of families. As such, we are helping those families that need it most with the Valley Forge Food Drive - Freedom from Hunger. Help us feed the hungry by delivering donations to one of our drop-off points by September 21. Valley Forge Park is not a drop-off point.
