"Spirit of Valley Forge – Triumph Over Adversity" Award
Washington’s epic winter at Valley Forge represents, for many Americans, a victory over insurmountable odds.
For those who run, and even walk, similar triumphs motivate them whether recovering from a significant illness or finding personal strength in the discipline and its camaraderie.
The "Spirit of Valley Forge – Triumph Over Adversity" award honors a past or present Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-mile Run participant who exemplifies the strength, courage and perseverance of a Continental soldier at Valley Forge.
We seek the stories of brave men and women who have successfully overcome personal challenges through walking or running and are past or present participants in the Run. Show us how the spirit of Valley Forge lives on.
