1777 Whitemarsh Encampment

Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6, 2016, 10am to 4pm.

Hope Lodge mansion open for self-guided tours all day, except during the skirmishes.

The schedule below is subject to change.

Saturday

11:30 a.m. - Skirmish between Colonial troops and British forces in the back field.
2:30 p.m. - Skirmish between Colonial troops and British forces in the back field.
Tour the fort (reboubt) immediately following the Weapons Demonstration and also following the skirmish

Sunday

10:30 a.m. - Revolutionary War Era Church Service in Garden
11:30 a.m. - Cashiering of a disgraced soldier on terrace in front of mansion
1:00 p.m. - Weapons Demonstration in back field
2:30 p.m. - Skirmish between Colonial troops and British forces in the back field
Tour the fort (reboubt) immediately following the Weapons Demonstration and also following the skirmish

Admission: Adults $8, Seniors (60+) $5, Youths (age 6 to 17) $5, Children (age 5 and under) and members of the Friends of Hope Lodge are free, special Family (one car) admission $20.

This event commemorates the time from November 2 to December 11, 1777 when General George Washington and the Continental Army were encamped in the Whitemarsh Hills.
