Fall is craft beer season in Montgomery County. Home to some of the country's most awarded breweries and wineries, Montco shows its home-brewed pride with brewfests and Oktoberfest celebrations across the county.
SUMMER "WINEDOWN" FEST
Greater Philadelphia Expo Center
End your summer with celebration of fine wine at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks. The annual Summer "WineDown" Fest brings craft wineries, local restaurants and food vendors together for an end-of-season bash.
Jenkintown Town Square
Part of the Jenkintown Festival of the Arts, the Jenkintown Brewfest offers unlimited pours with your admission price. Enjoy samples from Brooklyn Brewery, Riverhorse Brewery and more from 1 to 5 p.m.
At Ardmore Oktoberfest, you know that Tired Hands Brewery will be the star of the show. The award-winning craft brewer plays a big role in its hometown Oktoberfest. Guests will also enjoy live music, great food, the McCloskey's Tavern Beer Garden and games for the kids.
Elmwood Park Zoo
The only festival where you can share a beer with a bison, Tapped Philadelphia hosts its 2016 event at the Elmwood Park Zoo. More than 100 of the Philadelphia region's best craft beers will be spread out across the zoo's 16 acres.
CAN JAM MUSIC FESTIVAL
Sly Fox Brewing Company
Sly Fox Brewery's annual Can Jam celebration is one of the largest free music events in Montgomery County. Don't miss the opportunity to grab a couple cans of the brewery's signature beers (all pay-as-you-go).
SOUDERTON ART JAM TASTING TENT
Souderton Community Park
The Beer Garden at the Souderton Art Jam opens up from 2 to 5 p.m. with a new location closer to the music and food. Grab some local brews and enjoy the family-friendly beer garden seating area.
KING OF PRUSSIA BEERFEST ROYALE
October 6 & 8
King of Prussia Mall
The area's largest craft and international beer festival, the King of Prussia Beerfest Royale brings more than 100 craft brews, great food, live music and the popular cigar lounge to KOP for two days in October.
Now in its 25th year, the Ambler Oktoberfest takes over Butler Avenue on October 1. More than 90 vendors, 10 food trucks, kids rides, two stages of live music and an expansive beer garden highlight the day.
The eighth annual Narberth Oktoberfest takes over Narberth Park on October 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. Past events have included pig roasts, authentic German bratwursts and pretzels, live music and of course, craft beers from local breweries.
Wine lovers have flocked to Skippack Village every October for the annual Winetoberfest celebration. More than 15 wineries, distilleries and meaderies will be joined by local artisans for the two-day event.
CONSHOHOCKEN BEER FEST
The Proving Grounds
Back for its third year, the Conshohocken Beer Fest moves to the spacious A.A. Garthwaite Stadium in 2016. More than 50 local, regional and craft brewers are bringing their best to the event. The day's activities also include tailgate games and live music. Local restaurants will be providing food throughout the day.
TASTE PHILADELPHIA FESTIVAL OF FOOD, WINE AND SPIRITS
Valley Forge Casino Resort
Enjoy wine, spirits and gourmet foods during the annual TASTE Philadelphia event at Valley Forge Casino Resort. Special guests include food personality Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA star Stephen Curry, and Kevin O'Leary, owner of O'Leary Wines and best known from ABC's Shark Tank.
POTTSTOWN BREW FEST
After a successful debut in 2015, the second annual Pottstown Brew Fest is set to be even bigger and better with more than 150 beers and ciders from 65 craft brewers. Seven local restaurants will also be on hand serving their best food to festival-goers.
VALLEY FORGE BEER & CIDER FESTIVAL
Greater Philadelphia Expo Center
Close out the year with one of the largest craft beer events in the northeast. The Valley Forge Beer & Cider Festival fills the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center with more than 150 craft beers and ciders.
